Event List 2011

In 2011 I completed these events to secure my title as Rock Legend!

I’ve ran this twice now.

Event: Arizona Full

Month: January

Status: Check!

Comment: Slowest time ever at 6 hrs…but it was just for fun anyway. Arizona is always a good event.

My two fastest full marathons.

Event: San Diego Full (trained w/ TNT!)

Month: June

Status: DONE!

Comments: Fastest ever at 5:30. I beat the beast! Perhaps my last full for a long time.

Chitown, here I come!

Event: Chicago Half

Month: August

Status: Done!

Comments: Miracle weather. Loved it. A perfect start to a week’s vacation in Chicago!

I ran this in 2009.

Event: San Jose Half

Month: October

Status: Done! Not PR but close at 2:30:08.

Comments: Such an amazing course this year! AND I got to see Meb!

Course is changing I hear.

Event: LA Half

Month: October

Note: Hometown event.

Status: Ran the inaugural event in 2010. I liked running the new course a lot better.

Last minute event addition!

Event: San Antonio Half

Month: November

Note: Made possible by Competitor Group!

Status: It was a VIP race experience  and a trip I’ll treasure forever!

Ran the inaugural event in 2009.

Event: Las Vegas Half

Month: December

Note: A night run!

Status: A great race to end to a great year of running, although the event was somewhat controversial….

Event Canceled!

Event: New Year’s Eve Half

Month: December

Note: CANCELLED!?

Status: Actually, it is postponed until 2012. Because of this, I thought I wasn’t going to make Rock Legend. I contacted Competitor Group and they made it possible for me to do San Antonio instead!

I also ran these events in 2011:

The Relay

Ragnar Napa Valley

2011 I-Drive 5k

Surf City 5k

  2. I’m in the LA area too! I had been contemplating the New Years run so that I could get some heavy medal. (I only did the half relay in San Diego after an injury. And then Vegas so I barely missed one this year.) But with the cancellation that idea went out the window. I’m interested to see how Pasadena goes being an inaugural race. But I couldn’t pass it up since it is only 45 minute drive for me.

  3. I just ran Arizona this weekend (my first RnR), and it was really a great race! I’m hoping to do at least one more RnR event this year.

    • That’s fantastic! How did you do? Wasn’t the weather just wonderful? There are a lot of good RNR events to pick from. I’m getting excited for Pasadena half next month!

      • The weather was so great! Coming from a colder place, I really appreciated patio dining this weekend. I see from your home page that you were a cheerleader! I did much better than I thought I was going to, and I managed to PR which was really exciting! Looking forward to hearing how Pasadena goes!
